On this weekend we climb the classic alpine summits in the Kaunergrat mountain range. On the schedule there is both the Verpeilspitze (3.423 m, UIAA II) and the Parstleswand east ridge (UIAA III – IV).
The Kaunergrat mountain range is one of the most impressive mountain ranges in Tirol. The wild and lonley character of this area inspires climbers and mountaineers. Reason enough why we would love to introduce you to this beautiful spot in the Tyrolean Alps.

Day 1: Friday
Meeting point: 10:00 a.m. at the Mandarfen mountain guide office, ascent to the Kaunergrathütte; afternoon: climbing training and preparation for the tour
Day 2: Saturday
Ascent to the Parstleswand via the east ridge, nice climbing (difficulty: III-IV UIAA); descent back to the Kaunergra hut
Day 3: Sunday
Ascent to the Verpeilspitze (3,423m), nice, easy climbing (difficulty: II); descent back to the Kaunergrathütte and then back to the valley
FITNESS: fitness for 4-6 h and 650 m vertical metres up and down (+ approach to the Kaunergrat hut the day before; approx. 1300 vertical metres up)
TECHNIQUE: rock climbing in grade UIAA III-IV in second climb, no fear of heights
