Ice climbing used to be a niche sport but has become more and more popular during the last years. We are the ideal partner for rookies and experienced ice climbers. The Pitztal valley with its countless frozen waterfalls is an ice climbing-paradise in Tirol.

We teach you all the skills you need for climbing in the ice. Or we guide you through steep multi-pitch routes at one of the frozen waterfalls.

Among ice climbers the Pitztal valley is very well known. Countless waterfalls freeze in winter and form a unique world of ice. The Pitztal mountain guides are your competent partner regarding the ice.
  • In private lessons or group courses we teach you the basics of ice climbing.
  • You learn how to use correctly the ice axes, crampons and ice screws.
  • If you like we guide you on a multi-pitch route through one of the many frozen waterfalls in the Pitztal - a unique experience!

The Taschachschlucht canyon is a jewel for ice climbers in the Pitztal. Here you find a number of mechanically iced walls which suit to both beginner’s and intermediate ice climber’s needs. The access to the canyon is easy and offers also a great option for ice climbing courses.

The ice arena Taschach is an affair of the heart of mountain guide and ice climbing legend Alfi Dworrak. On his website Alfi publishes regularly updates about the ice conditions in the Pitztal.
